Prostate Cancer Center in Orange County, CA
Our Prostate Cancer Treatment Services
About Our Prostate Cancer Center
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men in the United States, and about one in seven men will be diagnosed at some point in his life. The specialists at the UCI Prostate Cancer Center care for patients at every stage, from a first elevated PSA result through long-term follow-up. We see patients throughout Orange County at our offices in Orange, Newport Beach, Irvine, and Yorba Linda, and we explain what each test result means before any treatment decision is made.
Our diagnostic program includes MRI fusion-guided biopsy, KOELIS Trinity® fusion biopsy, transperineal biopsy, and the imaging available through our Precision Prostate Diagnostics Center. Treatment options range from active surveillance for slow-growing disease to robotic-assisted prostatectomy, high-intensity focused ultrasound, cryoablation, and RapidArc® radiotherapy. Your physician will recommend an option based on the grade and stage of your cancer, your general health, and your own preferences.
Every urologist on our team works specifically in prostate care, and several have spent their careers refining the techniques used here. Patients meet the physician who will treat them and stay with the same care team through recovery. Pelvic floor rehabilitation and scheduled follow-up visits are part of that care, since urinary and sexual function affect daily life long after the cancer itself has been treated. Questions come up at every stage of this process, and our staff is available to answer them.

Patient Testimonials
My experience with the UCI team of nurses, doctors, and aides was outstanding. They were very professional and competent. Everyone made you feel special. I would highly recommend them.
When I received the diagnosis of prostate cancer, as well as facing the prospects of having a prostatectomy, to say that I was apprehensive & upset, would be an understatement. Thanks to the medical team who took care of me before, during, and after my surgery, I’m so glad I decided to seek treatment at UCI Urology Prostate Cancer Center.
I recently had a Radical Prostatectomy performed by Dr. Ahlering at UCI. The care that I received was amazing from the moment I walked in for check-in to pre-op nursing care to meeting the anesthesiologist to post-op and recovery. I would highly recommend this facility and felt completely comfortable with the care that I received.
My experience at The Prostate Cancer Center was terrific! I had been thoroughly prepared by Dr. David Lee and his team and my care while at the Cancer Center was excellent. No delays, no complications and I was released the same day as my surgery! I cannot say enough goof things about my care.
This is the place to go for prostate cancer. I continue to recommend them to anyone who inquires. My rationale for saying this is that my experience exceeded what friends and colleagues report and that my very good family practitioner confessed that it is the place he would go.
